ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The entry requirements include:
- Completion of Post Graduate Diploma Specialist Teaching (DHH) or Speech Language Therapist qualification, with at least two years of experience in that role.
- Relevant teaching or professional qualification
- Professional registration
- 2 years of professional experience.
PROGRAMME QUALIFICATIONS
The Master of Specialist Teaching (AODC) consists of 4 courses typically taken over two years, and two NZSL courses are also required:

FOR STUDY AWARDS
The Ministry of Education offers study awards to become an Adviser on Deaf Children
- Applications are welcome from Advisers on Deaf Children presently employed by the Ministry of Education, who are degree-qualified Teachers of the Deaf or Speech and Language Therapists, and are eligible for professional registration.
- The award covers course fees, study leave, and travel to attend block courses.
